I was first introduced to yoga in the 1970s. That first experience was an instant connection of mind and body for me. Over the years I was eventually led to the practice and discipline of “Iyengar Yoga” which is known for its strong focus on alignment. Both my body and my mind responded to this style of yoga and a spark was ignited. With decades of practice behind me I have come to really appreciate the benefits that a consistent and regular yoga practice has had on my life.

Now with some body/ mind intelligence and the use of props as needed, I can still practice the same poses that were easy to me 20 plus years ago, maintaining a reasonable flexibility & strength which enables me to live an active and healthy life.

My teaching now reflects where I am at in my own practice. An understanding that the “perfect pose” is different for each individual imperfect body.
