Michelle Polglase

Certified Iyengar teacher.

Nadine will be teaching the Saturday 8.30am classs for Term1 & 2. Starting 10th February 2024

I’ve been teaching yoga for over half my life now, and my personal yoga journey began after a friend suggested I try a yoga class a few decades ago. What a journey it’s been!

Over the years, my experience has included:

  • Improved mobility, muscle balance and functional strength, including for sporting activities

  • Tools for stress management, resilience and improved concentration, using proven relaxation and mindfulness techniques

  • Increased awareness of posture, the energetic connection between body and mind, and general wellbeing

This journey has also taken me to the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune, India to study with founder BKS Iyengar. I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and a qualified Pilates Instructor, with over 20 years of teaching experience. I have taught in yoga studios, gyms, schools and to business groups over this time.

A regular yoga class can help you increase strength and flexibility, reduce stress and tension, and assist with computer and mobile-related postural issues. Iyengar yoga is known for its use of props to support body alignment (and injury recovery); the fully equipped yoga studio also comes with a rope wall.

I teach the Saturday morning 8.30am General class, and all are welcome. I highly recommend the coffee and beach after class too – a great way to start your weekend!
